Wilow: The one wherelive action met motion

Traditional Animation, 3D, and advanced 2D, all in the same video. The trick was making you forget they're different things. The brief was ambitious. So we got obsessive.

Willow is the kind of project we take when we want to push ourselves. Most videos lean on one technique and do it well. This one didn't have that luxury. We needed advanced 2D, frame by frame, and 3D, all working together in a single piece. Any one of them is a craft on its own.

Putting all three in the same frame and making them feel like they belong together is a different problem entirely.

Built in three dimensions

We used 3D where the piece needed depth and physical presence. It gives objects weight, lets light behave
the way it does in the real world, and adds a sense of dimension that flat animation can't do.

The founder walks you through the product on camera and he’s clear, credible, and knows the pain points firsthand. But there's a limit to how much a talking head can communicate when theproduct itself is doing something genuinely complex under the hood.
